PAF – stands for Perfluorohexanone Aerospace Fluid
What is PAF?
Its chemical name is perfluoro-2-methyl-3-pentanone and its molecular formula is C6F12O. It is a colorless, odorless, and highly volatile liquid at room temperature. It is a clean gas extinguishing agent that can replace Halon and hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) for a long time.
FK-5-1-12 Substance Category
FK-5-1-12 was developed to replace Halon 1301, HFCs, HCFCs, and PFCs in special hazard and high-value applications. It features low toxicity and high fire-extinguishing efficiency.

It is a clean extinguishing agent
Environmentally friendly, with ODP = 0, GWP less than 1, and ALT less than 5 days.

Evaporates quickly, leaving no residue
Evaporation point at 49.2 °C, which is 50 times faster than water, with no chemical contamination.
Non-conductive (DIELECTRIC)
Prevents electric shock and is safe for electronic equipment up to 60 KV or 2.3 AT.
PAF-222 Types of Applications
CLASS A (WOOD / PAPER)
Fires caused by solid combustibles such as wood, cloth, paper, jute, cotton, rubber, and plastics.
CLASS B (LIQUID / GREASE)
Fires in flammable liquids and flammable gases such as oil, LPG, and grease.
CLASS C (ELECTRICAL SUPPLY)
Fires originating from energized electrical equipment, such as short circuits.
